If you feel exhausted by life abroad as a Black, Global Majority, Person of Color and/or LGBTQ+ adult, you’re not alone.
Being a racial, gender, or sexual minority in a foreign space often means carrying a weight people around you don’t seem to notice. Many of my clients reach out for support because they feel anxious, isolated, or stuck. They long for a life where they and their loved ones feel safe and happy, but they’re unsure how to get there – or if it’s even possible.
I help expats, immigrants, migrants, and globally mobile adults who identify as Black, Global Majority, People of Color and/or LGBTQ+ develop more nourishing relationships, peace of mind, self-trust, and authentic belonging.
Through individual counseling in English, we explore ways to shift the dynamics that drain your energy, make space for the complex feelings that can arise, and strengthen your support systems. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and attuned to the ways that both personal history and systemic forces shape your experience.
As a Black, African-American, queer, cisgender woman, I’ve often searched for therapists and spaces where I felt a sense of safety and belonging—where I didn’t have to explain or defend my experiences. I’m honored to co-create that kind of space with my clients.
